Hi, Paul. PE> Guys, there are some changes happening in echomail. I don't know what's PE> going to happen, but one of the options is that I may be calling Brisbane t What's going to happen? PE> collect echos. However, once I start paying for volume (ie timed calls), I PE> will want to reduce the mail volume to just the stuff I am interested in. PE> Currently the mail is 5-10 minutes/day, but I can probably get what I want PE> in <1 minute/day. I don't know how many of you are connected to echos PE> because "it seemed like a good idea at the time", but if you want an echo, PE> you might have to pay me the marginal cost of a phone call to Brisbane to PE> get it. There may be other solutions coming out of the woodwork too. Can PE> have a show of hands of how many of you have echos you can't live without PE> that you'd be willing to pay for (and how many K/week that is). You don't PE> have to count AUST_AVTECH BTW, as that's everyone else's job to get a PE> connection to me, not vice-versa. :-) And any other echo where the Sydney PE> + TML traffic is the major part, is no problem. It's things like C_ECHO. PE> Incidentally, I don't get C_ECHO for myself. You might find that if you ge PE> rid of the crap, you can fit it all inside a 1 minute/day call. BFN. PE> Paul. I read all messages in all the echoes I currently get, except for any RS RTL messages, and PASCAL which I scan rather than read each one because it's a busy echo. If I'm the only one reading that I'd be happy to contribute. In AvTech, can you just get everything except RS? :-) I wouldn't want to contribute to that crap.
