It's been on but I've only seen bits of it. Between work and spending
two weeks chasing or preparing to chase the 614 I haven't seen much
of the boob tube.
Then, the BBS I get this echo from just got back up today after some
type of trouble... just downloaded over 1000 messages to read!
Got one CD of 614 images, nothing spectacular. The other CD will be
processed and scanned as soon as I can afford it. I think this one
will be good - lot's of close ups on the turntable in Port Jervis.
Was a long day, had to break into the ERBC (Emergency Reserve
Beverage Cooler).
Amazing how many people show up when a big steam engine runs on the
main line! Also amazing what a big steamer sounds/smells like
dragging 20 cars and two tenders up a grade at speed! With all the
smoke coming out I thought for a minute that it was an Alco instead
of a Lima! :)
Have you caught the episode of "Extreem Machines" on The Learning
Channel that deals with trains? I've got it on tape around here
somewhere. It was repeated this evening.
