    Hi!

JT> Thanks much for the welcome. I have missed my echos so much.
JT> Re wooden forks and spoons; What i meant was that i was
JT> really making hardwood forks and spoons [ I am presently using about 47
JT> hardwoods with two [i doubt the red gum will pass the tests] in the
JT> testing stage, not decorating them. They are tableware eating size
JT> and with the woods i am using, it would be a terribles shame to put
JT> anything in the way of the wood. some of them are incredibly
 JT> beautiful.
Cool! I really had no idea what you were into. That is great and I
bet you have a lot of fun with it don't you.
JT> matching spoon [i just made my first wooden knife], to be used at our
JT> Medieval feasts. As i have a "war" that i am signed up for in
JT> mid-March, and the f+s are labor intensive and take a considerabe time.
JT> I am running hard to get them ready. They are one of my specialties,
JT> that no one else [except my aprentise] are offering. I also make
JT> leather goods, like pouches and wristwatch consealers out of material i
JT> salvage out of old leather jackets. I don't need to make any more of
JT> them just now as i have a good supply .
I have always wanted to get involved in the SCA but have know idea
if we have a local chapter around here or not. I love the medieval
period of history and have always enjoyed the knights and fair
maidens as well as the mean and nasty (but cunning) dragons..... :)

JT> My crafting time is also crowded by the need to make crafting
JT> samples for a big GirlScout Expo that i coming up the day before the
JT> war. Neither were willing to move their event for my conveince. I
JT> am dooing some simple crochet, pine needle basketry, etc, etc..
JT> So nice to hear from you.
You are busy! Take care and have fun with that crafting stuff.... I
am doing a Teresa Wentzler design. It is her StoryTeller. I have
really enjoyed it and it is going really nice. I have about four
other patterns that I want to do, so I need to get going on them!
Well gotta run. If you know of where I can get information on
joining a SCA group and how to find one in my area I would
appreciate the info. Thanks and have a good time!
