Either that, or something in LVM... I suppose the thing to do now is 
compare the driver versions and try running the older drivers on the 
newer system. You said that you'd tried the CW drivers and they didn't 
work? They haven't been updated for quite a while, so if it's a USB 
issue it would have to be the base drivers...
