I had the same problem once. My guess is your running it on plug 'n
lay.
Take it off that, modems were always made to run under there own IRQ. You
re
having a confliq with your IRQ's. What you do is, take the modem out of your
system, and reset it for IRQ 2, not 4, but 2. Put it back in and reconfig
t.
After that you should have no problem.
Plug 'n Play is nice, but not for most modems. Modems need there own IRQ
setting or they wil not run right, unless its USR. USR's are nice, but
anything can run just as good, if not better if set right.
