As my son zapped my whole system unknowingly last week, I lost all of my
files that I had been collecting for these posts plus my numbering system.
All is recovered, well almost all, and I got my new Corel Office from
Hastings, $30 + tax, special rate for educators.
Anyway, here I go again.

"#3. Cease dependence on inspection to achieve quality. Eliminate the need
for inspection on a
mass basis by building quality into the product in the first place.
For Educators:
*When a test shows us that a student has not learned, it is too late to
improve the educational
process for that student. We are left with remedial activities and rework.
*The education system that relies on testing to measure success is thereby
acknowledging the
unreliability of its educational processes and methods. If these are not
reliable, then why should we
insist the same educational system's ability to obtain reliable information
from test results.
*We must develop educational systems, processes, and methods that
consistently and reliably
educate students with diverse backgrounds and aptitudes for learning. Our
knowledge and practice
of these processes and methods must be such that there are no failures, no
need for rework and
remedial activities and therefore no need for testing." Pgs 2-4, 2-5
Ok, I see that I have to do some work on this. :)
