GC>X & Y start work at age 18, both earn $30,000yr & work until age 65, GC>both have basic super, but X also invests $5000 yr buying house/shares GC>etc. but Y saves nothing extra but spends the $5000 on beer etc. so at GC>age 65 the Govt says to X you cant get the pension because you've got GC>too much assets/money because you saved some money when you worked, BUT GC>to Y they give a full pension plus other benefits like some rent GC>assistance etc.... GC>What a system.....rewarding Y with a pension etc. for pissing his money GC>up against the wall and not saving some for the future. Yep !! Well I don't see why there are SO many people out there that are getting money for nothing and are doing just what 'Y' did with it and as a reward for my efforts and for getting off my ass and trying to build a small business all I get is "Sorry, your not eligible" !! It SUX !! Maybe the next time I fill in a form that asks me if Im part Aboriginal I should tick "Yes" then the'll throw the money at me. And NO I'm not racist. It's the way it is. I have freinds working in most government Departments around the place and unfortunatelly this country doesnt give a shit about the average Australian trying to build a future.
