My gut feeling is you either have badly worn heads, or misalignment of
the circuitry that controls those heads.
With the cost of some units lately, I'd say the service costs will just
about equal the cost of a new unit. Unless it's a high end unit, I'd
just go out and get a new one. Really sad to make this kind of
assessment, but sometimes, the repair just isn't as pristine as a
new production model. Investigate both avenues thoroughly as to cost.
