Thanks for your help their Peter.  I appreciate you and
others spending your time helping me on this and other 
questions.  Would you be able to explain to me further
just why this is required?  Like why TLINK doesn't have
a problem when there is no ".model flat" in two.asm, but
LINK386 does?  Because the thing is that two.asm is based
on the output of the Borland C compiler, which obviously
I have no control over.  What I would prefer is to have
either something I can add to one.asm, or some options
I can give to LINK386, to make it handle this?  My next
step is to look at the object code from each and read the
object file documentation which I have available online,
and see if I can see what difference the ".model flat"
makes.  BFN.  Paul.
