I am not sure whether I should submit this question here or in the BNU
echo, so I am going to start here and see if I can get any input first.
My question pertains to connect speed using a fossil driver.
On my bbs a caller will call in and connect at let's say 31200 and it is
passed to the bbs and the bbs knows they are connected at 31200.
Whenever this user downloads a file, the log of that download indicates
his speed as 38400 which is the locked port rate that BNU is set at.
Is there anything I can do which pertains to modem configuration that
will pass the correct connect speed to the protocol driver instead of it
showing the locked port rate of the fossil driver?
I have gone through the modem manual and I "think" I have everything set
so that my modem will follow the remote modem and do whatever the remote
modem wants in connection with connect speeds but there is a chance I
may have missed something that I am not aware of.
Any input is appreciated.
