subject: Web Based Message Board for Drake

Hello All!
The Drake Web Based Message board is now up for your use. I had
planned to do the web page first, but the message board was the easiest of
the two chores.
You can participate at
http://www.baltimorenews.com/wwwboard/drake/
Please drop in and make some posts...there's a welcome message at this
time that explains what the board's about, who hosts it, a very simple FAQ,
and
soemthing that you can use to scare away rodents, use as a scarecrow or
discourage vandals.
It's a wide-open board...with the exception that no commercial posts are
allowed(BUT, we're happy to set up something on a 'pay' basis for folks
'In The Biz').
While I'm in the process of putting the web page together, I'll most
likely setup a classified ad system for Drake and other Ham Radio related
equipment.
Now, the Shameless Self Promotion Part -
The board is hosted by Baltimore's Home Page...an online publication that
has the dubious distinction of having me as the Editor. I'd appreciate you
looking at the publication, letting us know what you think about it...AND
if you're of a writing mind...think about some submissions for publication.
My goal with the publication is to offer interesting content that will
cause folks to view our pages...there are tons of web pages that are fairly
devoid of content...and we'd like to be a spot where folks can visit for
information.
I have the ability to expand the technology section in the publication in
various directions...perhaps your participation would assist me. Don't
overlook the historical aspect of Ham Radio...I'm sure some members of this
list have been around long enough to write about things that would be
interesting to old timers and newcomers alike.
Enjoy the board, make use of it...and think about putting your interests,
skills and recollections on the net.
