The pronunciation of Hochdeutsch is more regular than that of English, 
but the grammar is more complex. Esperanto may be the most regular of 
all. Malay/Indonesian may have the simplest grammar of all.

English has more exceptions than rules, and that's before we ever 
consider the question of pronunciation. I came across this just the
