The Internal Revenue Service has.  Just about two years ago, maybe three, a
nationwide poll in this country revealed that 2/3 of the adults in this
country were afraid of *their* government (for the terminally dense, that's
the regime in Washington D.C.).  The story got a little press for a couple
of days and then went quietly away, the point never to be raised again.
