JP>Wine with woodchuck? Gawd, civilization really DOES end at the Hudson
JP>River, doesn't it?
JP>Here in sophisticated upstate NY, the argument is whether you serve a

John,
Being originaly from up-state (Chataqua County) I can state that
woodchuck was always served roasted with a sage dressing and pan
drippings gravy. The wine was always a cheap red (not trying to
be ethnic or anything here) usually called "Dago Red" that cost
.50 cents per gallon. Beer was acceptable only if home made,
and would still get you talked about!
