PE> WHAT AN INSTALL!!! They asked me to reboot my system something PE> like FOUR TIMES!!! It must have taken an hour to do (and I had PE> to stuff around with my CDROM which appeared to keep having PE> errors which required me to keep on clicking "retry"). Have you seen any evidence of any problem with the CDROM previously ? If not, its either a dud CDROM itself or yet another OS/2 obscenity. Ideally the test would be to read the CDROM a few times thoroughly under 3.x to see if you still see errors in that situation, say an XCOPY to null. But unless you have an older version of OS/2 you can boot manager to, not really worth the trouble. PE> Right at this moment I'm a happy camper with 48 meg to spare PE> on my C drive! Time to start rearranging the BBS I reckon! Someone is doing sub $400 prices on those Sirocco 2.5GB drives currently |-) PE> Next bug, I copied a file from one disk to another, and after that PE> it got most upset, it couldn't read the file, couldn't delete it, PE> etc (this is after using the "copy" command). Actually, I copied an PE> entire directory. Fortunately I was able to recover the file from the PE> original disk, but had to go to DOS in order to delete the rogue file. Urk. Looks like the clowns havent improved their quality control any. What happened about those partition quirks that bit you previously ? @EOT: ---* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/610 @PATH: 711/934 |
