Hi Paul,
I've been looking at what I have to do to my TIC program to
make it work under UNIX, and I suddenly realised that I just don't
give a shit! Who cares?
I can't make head nor tail of your bloody trav() and I don't give a
shit about that, either. And it doesn't give me the date and size
anyway, so why the hell am I bashing my brain for this? I don't know.
So I've stopped. The idea behind trav() is good, but it loses something
in the execution.
For someone who insists that Pascal can't do files I find C's
pathetic efforts to do files hilarious! Talk about a shambles!
So... I'll finish off my DOS version of TIC using findfirst() to get
the information, and fuck all UNIX. If TIC DOS source is any use to
you, great... otherwise, fuck you too. I turned 57 today, and life is
too short to waste it on UNIX.
I'm going back to Pascal, Delphi, DOS and Windows as quick as I can
get outa here. I'll leave the the boutique operating systems to you and
your mates.
Jeeze! What a waste of time today has been. Happy birthday all.
BTW, I've re-thought my idea of writing FILES.TXT, and there's something
to be said for keeping 24 little files, one for each section. It'll be a
lot faster that way, if I update FILES online.
Regards,
Bob
