I didn't reinstall Win32s after a bout with the Klez.H
worm.

Sure you could. 
I kept the .zip files of all my additions in a c:\hold 
file on my older drive which went south.
I did however have the foresight to do a dir/s \ > \filelist.txt
and keep a copy of that on record on a floppy or two.
Fits on one with a meg+ to spare here but I don't rely on single copies.
After Klez.H infected my system and finding no tools to
remove it for Win 5.1 or DOS I simply checked that file
and snagged all the updates back off the web.
Charles Angelich has most all the upgrades and more than 
I have on his web site but I'd not at that time been there.
Took me 2 days and I was back to square one with a far
leaner Windows but all the same features.
