BH> How do I set up a TEMP directory for VXREXX?
 BH> In config.sys I have this line:

 BH> SET TMP=c:\tcpip\tmp

This is fine. Lots of tools want a scratch directory they call TMP and the
easiest thing is for them all to use the same one. On my system, VXREXX
uses the TMP directory that ibm c++ established, namely SET
TMP=c:\ibmcpp\tmp.

BH> And All my vrexx.cmds are being stored here.
 BH> I don't want this.

I believe your vxrexx.cmds are stored in the .VRX and .VRY files saved for
each project in the VXREXX\PROJECTS directory. On my system when I run
VXREXX, the first thing is does is make a subdirectory __TMP1 (or such)
within the TMP directory. In there, it puts all the working stuff it will
need and this includes a lot of *.cmd files.

But these really are temporary files. When I terminate VXREXX it goes back
and deletes them all, along with __TMP1 itself. I once asked for a slider
bar with 32,000 ticks (big mistake) and VXREXX dutifully went off to build
one. After five minutes I got tired of waiting and ungracefully closed the
VXREXX session. In that case, the *.cmd files were left in TMP. I just
deleted them myself and nobody cared.

 BH> Would this work:
 BH> SET VXREXXTMP=F:\VXREXX\TMP

Nope. VXREXX wants to use TMP and I don't believe you can change that. I
you are really hot to use a different TMP directory then you could start
VXREXX from an OS/2 command line via...

SET TMP=F:\VXREXX\TMP
