DR> long time no participate in Mystery, but I'm still here. Been busy
Welcome back.
DR> doing lots of creative stuff, but do lurk a lot. (g).
DR> I've discovered a mystery writer I've gotten hooked on. How many of
DR> you die hard mystery fans have read any of Elizabeth George?
I think I've read everything she's written except for the last one.
DR> I just finshed reading "Well Schooled in Murder" and am into "In the
DR> Presence of the Enemy." Excellent writer. This lady keeps you guessing
DR> from beginning to end. Her main protaganist is Inspector Thomas
DR> Lynley, an aristocrat, who often teams up with a forensic scientist,
DR> Simon Allcourt St. James. Like the way she works their private lives
DR> into the story, just enough to make them human and interesting.
I haven't read IN THE PRESENCE OF THE ENEMY yet, which I think is the only
one I haven't read. And, the aristocratic detective, private or Scotland
Yard variety, is one of my favorite subcategories--Wimsey, Campion, and
Allyn being three of my favorites.
