The Standard Template Library comes with most modern C++ compilers.
MSVC started in 4.0 (don't use it - get the HP version from the net ... after
4.02 it was ok)
Watcom started in 11 (but 10.6 uses the HP version just fine).
Borland started in 5 (although 4.52 used the HP version)
GNU started in 2.7.2 (I think). (Don't use the HP version.)
Note: I haven't used in on Borland. I've used it on the rest. My current
GCC is at 2.7.2.1. YMMV.
I could zip up the HP STL and send it to you since I forget the FTP site it's
on, but I also don't have internet access at the moment. :-/
At any rate, use the list template in there. It's now part of the draft
standard, and ya may as well get used to it. :-) Besides, after looking at
the relatively complete implementation, I'm thinking that writing it yourself
would be doable, but not desirable. :-/
