Reading about Win95 first release does give the impression many
of the binaries would work with W31. I have no early Win95 here
to experiment with but the thought has crossed my mind (several
times).

Yes, my own modified W31 would be difficult to redo if I lost
my only copy. I have it burned to CD now and sleep better
knowing that. :-)
