The Drive is a Seagate 40GB.

I have tried both CWUSBMSD and USBMSD.

All USB ports are working - ie I can plug my USB memory key or digital camera
into any of them and the devices are recognised.

The box comes with drivers for Win98 - under WinXP none are required and
plugging it into my works WinXP laptop, the drive is visible and works without
problems.

I have USBRES installed and it sees the device.

I have also tried using USBMOUNTD - it realises when the drive is plugged in
(or powered on) saus it is updating LVM but no new drive letter appears.
Connecting my camera and watching USBMOUNTD gives the same message "updating
LVM" but it also then indicates the drive letter (N:) assigned and indeed this
drive is visible in the Drives folder.

The external HD box is one called a "blueeye" and has it's own
external power.

Cheers/2
