Now that I'm discussing the deomolition documentaries I am
getting the feeling there was a good deal of 'showmanship'
apparent in their demeanor and general attitude. I didn't key
in on that but now, thinking back it was there.

I was not aware of the pole inside a box-tube design of the WTC. 

I am now and it does make more sense even though I would've
expected the rubble from above to eventually cause the lower
portion of the building to bulge outwards rather than just fall
down. 

Also, if the air-exchanger was using this center section as a
wind tunnel with those roof fans etc. it would've created a
sort of 'blow-torch' affect when the fuel was ignited and
contained in that one area.
