subject: Wanted Db2 Or Database P

In a message dated 01-09-95, Stephen Lindholm said to Mike Bilow:

SL>Mike Bilow le escribe a Bruce Richards:

MB> By the way, there is no easy way out of this 2 GB file size
MB> limit on a PC. Most implementations of Unix have the same
MB> limitation.

SL>NT did it right.

Note that the new DB2/2 (2.0) will not be limited to the 2GB limit.
It overcomes the problem the same way the mainframe version overcame
the 4 GB VSAM limit by allowing partitioned tables. Still not much
need for NT.
