It wasn't an oxymoron when Martin was Finance Minister!  In 1993 he was
given the portfolio of Finance Minister and the annual deficit was
Cdn$42billion.  Last year it was a surplus of Cdn$9billion.

I once heard it said that Martin is so far rightwing that Joe Clark is on his left.
