OK, I've just set up my LAN, and I'm attempting to provide Internet access
to my sister's computer via my cable modem.
I've got BIND 4.95 up and running properly.
SOCKD (the PM one with July 1997 dates) doesn't get past the initialization
message, and hangs after doing most of menu commands.
SOCKS5 from NEC appears to work somewhat. My sister's machine runs Win95,
so I downloaded SocksCap32 from NEC, and ran it with Netscape. Loading my
home page from my own web server via SOCKS seemed to work fine. But going
outside results in this:

Everything appears alright, but after it hits that last line, there's
nothing. Netscape on my sister's machine does not get any information, and
just times out.
Repeating the experiment on my own machine with Netscape for OS/2
configured to use the SOCKS server at my address results in the same thing.
Nothing happens.
Anyone know what it is that's going wrong, and what I might do about it?
