TL> If you really want a good dual boot setup, consider Boot Manager. I
I too am using Boot Manager. You need to set aside a 1 meg
partition in order to install it.
Also, if your FAT partitions are large (i.e. greater than 512
megs), you should consider formatting them in HPFS. This will let you
use more of your hard disks. The reason behind that assertion is that,
under FAT, the larger the partition, the larger the cluster size. And
the larger the cluster size, the more space is wasted. In PC World or
PC Magazine, there once was an article where they did some tests and
observed that a partition (> 1.2 gig) with clusters of 32K, 25% of
your hard disk was wasted. That comes to 400 megs wasted just because
you formatted in FAT. On the other side of the fence, HPFS always, i.e.
no matter the size of your partition, has clusters of 512 bytes (that's
1/2 of 1K). So there's very little space wasted. And it's faster at
locating files.
