What ISP knows what sites someone goes to? Is AOL still running folks thru
logging proxy servers or something? Are they talking about web server logs
(what IP's visited a site that the ISP hosts)?
We keep dialup and dsl IP address logs for 1 month (part of the billing
system) because of the way customers get billed for things like 800 number
usage and such and for tracking infected users when we get a complaint.
Mail servers log email addresses but who keeps email logs for more than a
few days? I mean geeze, the logs would be bigger than the email store
within a few months.
