Is that softs from '69? How is it?

ke> I was just listening to Cale's _Honi Soit_ album last night.

 DM> On 8 track?

No, I confess it was pristine vinyl. The only Cale cart I
have is _Slow Dazzle_ with the wonderful "Ski Patrol"
(Here comes the ski patrol, it comes but once a year....)
and a version of "Heartbreak Hotel" which is better than
the one on _June 1, 1974_. And then there's this tune
with a strange story about a man's head that turns into a
vagina while he's sitting in a bar.

DM> I've always loved "Dead Or Alive". That "Penny Lane"
DM> trumpet on top of the crunch of the rest of the track

Yes, that is nice. "Fighter Pilot" is also a cool tune,
with the chorus out of synch with the music.

ke> Could be worse, they could have gotten you Ebola, and no,
ke> that's not a device to make your guitar sound like a cat.

DM> That's the bug that makes your face look like a Peter Gabriel
 DM> album cover, right?

No, it does that to your brain and makes your eyes go all
        wild, like Tori Amos.

DM> Or izzit the one that makes you sing like Adrian Belew?

What, bellow like Belew? Nah, more like Pavlov's Dog.

DM> IAE, mixing it with mashed potatoes smooths it out
 DM> considerable.

And if you keep it down your trousers, no one need ever
        know your little "secret."
DM> You got something against Mannheim Steamshovel?

I would rather rip out my own liver and eat it raw than
listen to MS, but aside from that I have nbo objections.

DM> So when's the Canadian New Year?

With the first snows, back in August.

DM> NP: Fleetwood Mac _BBC_: "Man Of The World"

What, Meat Would Flak? Huh? Speak up, Sonny.

                                Cheers,
                                Kenneth
