Yes, but you did not read the rest of what I said. 

The money is referred to as 'dollars' but there are different
values. All Canadian laws are not the same as American laws.
Canada has socialized medicine, the USA does not. 

These are major differences that affect many subjects often to
a greater degree than I would prefer. 

'North America' does not help me.
