Jerry, chorine is used for disenfecting water ... I use it when I camp. It
is part of the instructions for use with my backpacking water purifier.
However toxicity and how folks respond (read over-react) ... for safety sake
to toxicity becomes a personal decission on what is acceptable risk and what
is not to that person. Chlorine has it faults and it's good points. Prudent
use of chloine can be an asset.
