| subject: | Which C++ Compiler? |

Thanks for posting this, it pretty interesting reading since I just
purchased Watcom. I had a couple of suggestions, though.
JdBP> Watcom C++ 10.0 -- Contact : sales{at}watcom.on.ca
JdBP> (FIDONET 1:221/186)
How about phone numbers for contacts? To start you off, here's the number
I used for Watcom: 1-800-265-4555. I also wish you had price ranges on all
the products and the student pricing (if available). I realize prices are
different everywhere (especially from where you and I are located), but a
range of prices would be kind of nice. Watcom is $199 normally and $99 for
the student version.
JdBP> [*] SOM support (*ONLY v1*)
Does this mean I can't program for Warp, or is there a patch available?
JdBP> CON : Non-standard linker.
Will I not be able to use C-Libraries and such that I find on the boards
because of this?
JdBP> Printed manuals are extra and
JdBP> will almost double the price of the product.
That's the truth!! Watcom wanted $119 for them.
Thanks again for the post. Some people on the Internet newsgroup wanted
this posted, but I don't think I ever saw it there. I hope you do post it
there.
