-=> Quoting Paul Edwards to John Tserkezis <=-
Hello Paul,
PE> John, I am currently getting 200 echos from Dave Hatch. Most of these
PE> echos are probably on Ted Harrison's system (can you do an areafix
PE> query to his system and send me the results?).
Already do this and am sending a zip to your system (JT_ECHO.ZIP). It
contains all of the echos available via ted.
PE> If I want to (not sure yet), can I receive the 200 echos through you
PE> instead of Dave?
Yep, I'll have to check with bob james if he is strapped for space, it should
be fine as far as I know. Space here is ok once I get the cd writer working,
as I have a few files that need to be backed up to some easily accessable
media other than hard drive, er about 750 meg worth.
PE> Do you have your system set up (just like mine) so that any
PE> points/nodes can send an areafix to you, and it automatically gets
PE> processed and, if required, sends an areafix request to your Ted?
Yep, had this set up a short while back, with no passwords of yet and
currently disabled. Send me a netmail with node number and password to use,
and I'll enable it.
PE> I use "squalid" as my areafix program which does this, but I would
PE> expect there is software around for your system too. (What is your
PE> system BTW)? BFN. Paul.
I'm using gecho, it responds to "gecho" "areafix"
"arealink" "confmgr" and
"echomgr". I can't set it up to respond to anything else though.
For files I'm using allfix, and it responds to "allfix"
"raid" and "filemgr".
I can set it up to respond to other names as well.
Both work as per norm, ie, address it to gecho/allfix {at} 3:712/610 with your
session level password on the subject line. Use %HELP in the text content
to get some help.
If you do (or don't) want TIC files, just tell me and I'll stop them from
coming down.

... I don't mind Jesus, it's his fanclub that bothers me.
