OK, Paul, the following is addressed to the poster (asker), not to you
personally.
The NRA rules and bylaws specify that only Life Members and annual members
who have held membership for five or more consecutive years can vote on
leadership positions. That means that although I first joined the NRA in
1960, I can't vote on the leadership since I got aggravated at them a couple
of years back and let my membership lapse. I don't know if it's a good
policy or not and am not too concerned about it. After all, I knew what the
policy was when I first joined up.
