I don't believe she was the one to come up with the idea, she just wrote the
book about it. Originally, it meant that the child is not only influenced by
the parents but everyone around the child. So, in effect, the whole
ommunity
must set a good example and help influence in the right way. NOT that the
community gets to decide how the child is raised. Anyway, I haven't read her
book, so I don't know how she interprets it.
