Mike,

I've blocked the various addresses through a firewall.  But when all are
blocked, then google stops working.

If you still think aliasing will work, are you recommending this be
configured in the HOST file?

I'm not sure what you mean by a keep-alive feature.  I am not familiar
with this feature in either Mozilla or Firefox.  Would you please care to
elaborate for me?
