12358e2f3146 tech Hello Jim - JH> For any here who may wish to be a bit more scientific than JH> some of the seemingly foolish prattling recently posted JH> here, and who might want to learn more about that huge JH> cloud of dust which came at time of WTC collapse, and dust JH> stirred up during cleanup, a simple Google search on - JH> "World Trade Center dust" - JH> will turn up a number of informative publications and news JH> articles. JH> With a brief session there, I learned a lot. Here's a JH> distillation, from the conclusions I arrived at after that JH> admittedly brief research. JH> Of a group of surveyed areas, only two small areas were JH> found to have enough level of asbestos dust fibers to JH> require remediation. (when they do asbestos remediation, JH> the workers wear moon suits). JH> Some of the spray-on fireproofing used on WTC steel was JH> found to contain about 20% of asbestos fibers, but those JH> were the "serpentine" type fibers, generally not considered JH> to be as dangerous as other type asbestos fibers, due to JH> their large size. You failed to mention why they are not considered as dangerous. Supposedly people can cough them up from their lungs. Nothing said they won't be inhaled nor that they can't embed themselves in people's lungs. JH> The serpentine type includes some with fibers so long they JH> could be (and were) woven into cloth. I saw no indication JH> that this type material was any sort of large contributor JH> to the "dust" problem. The two small areas where asbestos JH> remediation was done due to the dust, this wasn't the type JH> of fibers they were trying to clean up. JH> In the dust layers which settled, the particles most JH> commented upon, and which are/were known to be capable of JH> causing respiratory problems, were JH> dust from pulverized constituents of concrete, including JH> silica dust from pulverized constituents of gypsum plaster JH> and wallboard dust from pulverized products containing JH> glass fibers You missed some fire retardant chemicals that were mentioned in other articles you did not read? JH> All of these forms of dust are known "hazardous" materials, JH> able to cause respiratory illness when inhaled in quantity, JH> and at least the first two have components which are JH> suspected carcinogens. JH> Other good terms for info searches include silicosis and JH> asbestosis. JH> But only look into this kind of thing if you'd like to try JH> and learn some of the facts, I've been reading articles but with a twist. I don't automatically assume that if it is in print "it must be so". http://www.newsday.com/news/local/newyork/ny-hswtc1226,0,2912369 I had this URL saved to post here AMOF. It somewhat agrees with your synopsis but adds a few carcinogens to the list. I'm not saying this article speaks for me nor that I accept their results carte blanche. It does point out that they _are_ aware there were hazardous materials (to humans) within the structure. JH> rather than blindly accepting "blame the rich capitalists" JH> type theorizing. You probably have no knowledge of the Astor family history or how they came to be as rich as they are. I do. It began with selling guns and whiskey to the American Indians. Neat huh? The man who wrote the book about rich American families and their skeletons was never sued and the book was reprinted three times. Go figure? That Mr. Ford backed the Nazi party was common knowlege at one time and at least one of the major oil companies in the USA did too (openly). Here in Michigan the military was called out to the Buick plant in Flint Michigan to put down a strike and shot and killed men who were striking for better wages. Etc. etc. etc. ... you may know building materials but you do not seem to know the rich. That someone did something these 'terrorists' could not forget nor forgive is quite obvious. I was not me, nor you, nor anyone we know. They did not do this out of boredom. Someone started this mess and from the recent target(s) I would say it was the rich-and-powerful (powerful being our government - the failed target). Future generations may some day know what started this when it is too late to punish the real instigators. Meanwhile blameless persons have had to die and how many more to satisfy those who plot in safety? Here's more reading: http://news.com.com/2100-1023-978598.html Just relax, everything is fine. The rich and powerful watch over you and keep you. Sorry to be so harsh but you don't need to badger me to make a point. > > , , > o/ Charles_Angelich - DOS Ghost \o , > __o/ > / > www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost/faf/ < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
