subject: Santangelo revisited

Bruce Marshall gave up a long homer to Otis Nixon and said:
BM> Who was more valuable to his team? Sanatangelo.
BTW, here's a few pertinent stats on Hollandsworth, Renteria and Santangelo.
Due to the way that messages screw up on different systems due to line size,
I've omitted strikeouts, stolen bases and caught stealing. The stolen bases
numbers favor Hollandsworth and Renteria by a large margin and while Renteria
(once every 6.8 plate appearances) and Santangelo (7.2) have better strikeout
ratios than Hollandsworth (5.6), Todd was at his best when leading off (6.5)
or batting second (6.4).
Hollandsworth and Renteria both had superior numbers in nearly all instances
and after the All-Star break, Renteria was hot, hot, hot. Hollandsworth
started 122 of 149 games, Renteria started 103 of 106 and Santangelo started
105 of 152.
