H1N1 was also a pandemic although not as deadly as coronavirus has proven to
be.

There is nothing sexy about the CDC but it could be useful in a pandemic.

I wouldn't get a boner for the CDC but I would take their advice seriously.

The CDC is not new and has served it's purpose well under many presidents. I
don't know but I suppose the CDC was providing the Obama administration with
advice for the H1N1 pandemic.
