| subject: | IP connecction problem |
It seems that after I've closed my Firefox 1.0.3 session out, I still seem
to have some form of zombie process running that periodically connects to
google ip addresses. Periodically means about every minute or two.
I've run IPTRACE to find these packets.
They would seem to be I'm alive kind of messages. 54 or 91 bytes in size.
They tend to connect to
pagead.l.google.com
pagead2.google.com
pagead2.googlesyndication.com
I've tried to black list these sites, but there are a number ofIP
addresses associated with them. And I can probably keep adding them
individually forever.
Has anyone run across these before?
My warpcenter does not recognize a process that might be running these.
Neither does pstat, nor Mole II.
Any pointers or other helpful information that might help me track down
the culprit and get it to stop, would be appreciated.
Thanks,
-Mark
