This probably isnt the type of response you're looking for, but I also have 
a problem with my cursor disappearing.  It happens when I shell out of TSE 
to a command prompt.  I've found that if I just Alt-Tab to another app and 
then Alt-Tab back to TSE, then my cursor reappears.  I'm not positive on 
this, but I believe under some circumstances TSE runs an outside executable 
to do sorts.  If so you may be experiencing the same thing I am.
