Try finding .45LC ammo.  Too many must think that old is not good.  My warm 
reloads are very accurate and in the .44mag power range yet safely within 
guidlines for the Ruger.  44spl enjoyed a mild resurgence when Charter Arms 
introduced the five shot Bulldog wheel gun twenty years ago.  Supply and 
demand seems to depend on marketing not effectiveness.  Take Care and btw,
