Both my monitors, NEC and P.B., looked radically  
different on the outside. Removing the case however
revealed _identical_ chassis and boards  though in one case the
potentiometers for width, height and brightness were mounted on
a board and accessable outside from the side while the other
ran wires from the exact same solder pads to mounted controls
on the front of the case.
Wish in retrospect I'd kept the first fried monitor as
I could have quite easily made one working one out of the two
but back then I hadn't cracked the case of the NEC and never
guessed they'd be the same.
