I haven't opened and of them up yet, though. Both my monitors, NEC and P.B., looked radically different on the outside. Removing the case however revealed _identical_ chassis and boards though in one case the potentiometers for width, height and brightness were mounted on a board and accessable outside from the side while the other ran wires from the exact same solder pads to mounted controls on the front of the case. Wish in retrospect I'd kept the first fried monitor as I could have quite easily made one working one out of the two but back then I hadn't cracked the case of the NEC and never guessed they'd be the same. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:275/311) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 275/311 10/345 379/1 633/267 |
