Good morning, Jim.

JH> Sounds like you're now back up north.

Yep, for the last 10 days and got myself a Mopther of all Cold.

JP> My new one does have ONE ISA and it is populated with my old USR
JP> modem. The MoBo is a PLE01 and sports a VIA C3 at 800 MHz.
JP> used to be Cyrix, I think.

JH> That's well and good, but if you're questioning my "18 months
or so"
JH> statement, I'll admit I may have been a month or two off, so I'll
JH> have to ask during what month of what year did your mainboard design
JH> first get introduced to the market?

I got out of BW just for you and restarted the system to see
what the BIOS holds as a date and here it is : 4/11/2002 ! Not
even a year old yet. My modem is happy as . . . in mud in this
ISA slot so I am not dreaming.

        Going south again around mid-January
