I posted this messsage and I don't know if there have been any replies at all 
because my Fidonet feeds were down for a while...  But, here is what is going 
on with my modem...
Yesterday, the modem started recognizing RIng and returning the CID info 
again...  How weird.  The modem has been turned on and just sitting there and 
nothing else has changed.
I am not complaining, it is nice to have it working again, but I wonder when 
it will quit working correctly again!?!?!   Has anyone else ever seen a 
problem like  this?
Also, this modem is plugged into an UPS and also has a APS telecom line 
protector between the phone line and the modem, and also on the RS-232 line 
between the modem and the computer...
