You asked virtually the same question in sci.bio.misc and I answered
you there. Why are you asking again? And why in a different location?
As the the connection between cell movement and evolution, cell
motility is one of the basic features of cells, as is transport,
secretion, excitability, metabolism, etc. Read any good cell biology
text to see the differences between, say, eukaryotic and prokaryotic
cells in this regard.
