No, I don't know of any documentation on it aside from the Linux source. I
can't even think of anyone to whom I could refer you. File systems issues
are not easily available in the academic literture, either, aside from
perhaps "File Structures" by Zoellick and Folk, which is not
aimed at writers of operating system components, or the devil book
("The Design and Implementation of BSD Unix").
