subject: Re: IDE DVD_RW and SCSI

My system's hard disks and CD-ROM drive are all SCSI. The DVD burner is
a Plextor PX-708A (ATAPI).

Here's what I have (I hope I haven't missed anything relevant):

IFS=E:\OS2\BOOT\CDFS.IFS /Q /W
DEVICE=E:\OS2\BOOT\OS2CDROM.DMD
DEVICE=E:\OS2\MDOS\VCDROM.SYS
BASEDEV=DANIS506.ADD
BASEDEV=OS2ASPI.DMD /ALL
BASEDEV=DANIATAPI.FLT /RSJ /!SCSI
BASEDEV=LOCKCDR.FLT
DEVICE=E:\CDWFS\RSJSCSI.SYS
IFS=E:\CDWFS\CDWFS.IFS
RUN=E:\CDWFS\CDWFSD.EXE -p "G:/RSJTEMP" -c20000 -b2048 -t2 -i3 -s0

Some of these lines were added automatically, either by the eCS 1.2
installation or by upgrading from the "crippled" RSJ that came with eCS
1.2 to ver. 5.52. Some I added or edited myself after reading Dani's docs.

With this configuration a CD or DVD is readable in the DVD burner using
one drive letter (happens to be L:) without having to "attach" the
drive. After "attaching," a disk can be written to using a different
drive letter (M:).
