I have had "bad luck" with those LinkSys cards... I have 3 of the 5.1,
and 1, of the 4.0 I bought at Frye's Electronics.
One of the Ver 5.1, I installed in a 2000 Model Year HP, WinXP Pro
showed it as a Ver 4.0 (What?!?!), and my OS/2 Warp 4.52 would not see
it at all... I just recently Re-Built that machine, and replaced the
LinkSys with an Intel Pro 100 Managed card (bought for $5.00).
I stick with the Intel Pro (10/100/1000) and 3Com (3c509, 3c905). I
just got 4 3c905 cards Saturday, an 'A' level, a 'B' level, and 2, 'C'
level, $3.00 each!!!
