2) Pretend that, given 1) above, there is a one to one correspondence
between measured shifts in a population's genes and the random factors
that can influence these shift.

3) Ignore the fact that "chance" and "randomness" are
different, not
interchangeable, concepts.

4) Ignore the fact that chance is not causative.

5) Ignore the fact that although randomness is causative it is
explicitly included in NS.
